I am 19 yrs old and i want to become a truck driver?

I have a Class A CDL but because the min. age limit for cross state truck driving is 21, they did not have a job opportunity for me. My question is are there any known companys that will let me work for them being only 19. My Driving record is clean. Thanks. lol shooting for the stars, well i was trying to retire by age 22 but umm.... that wont be happening will it? Anyway im from nashville TN. I have no girlfriend wife or kids, i have something much more precious to me, my dog, that i plan on taking with me. The internet is so flooded with job opportunites that all complete fiction. thanks

I live in Gallatin & my husband works for Falcon Transportation as a driver. I do think the 21 age limit is pretty standard (maybe DOT rule). You may be able to go to some of the job fairs & see if they can hire you short haul (in state) until you are 21. Or even as a local driver or shuttle driver. Nashville is great for drivers because we are 1 day from most of the country so lots of opportunity. Good luck!!

The problem isn't the company's that your trying to get on with but the insurance companies.They won't insure you especially for over the road driving.If you have any construction companies or maybe a small drilling company that needs a driver you might get on there.
