Where can I buy a white blouse for waitressing job?
Asked by texan_latina
I need to buy white button up long sleeve shirts. They need to have a collar so i may wear a tie. This is for a waitressing job i have. I really do not know where i can buy them and truthfully i dont want to spend much on it because of the fact that they get dirty and stained fast. Now they dont have to be all long just at least 3/4 sleeve. Can anyone help me? I need at least about 3 shirts.

Best Answer:
target walmart or goodwill

You should look online at places like Sears, Penny's, and even Walmart or TJ Maxx. Some people have good luck at consignments shops and even the Goodwill. Check them out, you may get lucky. Good luck with your job.

If there is any kind of thrift store or resale shop in your area try there first. Salvation Army always has a huge selection. Goodwill Industries too. This is a good way to find some cheap decent clothing for work that is probably going to get dirty and stained rather quickly.

Go to thrift stores. i have waitressed for 20 years and REFUSE to spend money on clothes for those exact reasons. Go now, get what you can get, and go back in a week. Check carefully for ring-around-the-coller & pit stains. Missing buttons are no biggie because you can pull one off the bottom & replace. My boss (7 years) was the BIGGEST SNOB, and he always used my uniform as an example when showing new girls what to wear. He never had a clue that I was paying $2-5 a shirt. Good luck!
