Just call me momma.
Child Care Provider?
Asked by Just call me momma.
Does anybody know how to get your state license to be a child care provider. What do you have to go through and where do you look to get it?

Best Answer:
do you a jobs and family services office in your county? Call them and they will direct you to the right department within their offices.

A:
In Clark County (Las Vegas and surrounding area) Nevada, it is the county who licenses child care providers. Call your state and/or county and they can tell you what the criteria is. I had my daughter in an at-home daycare and she had to make sure that entrances were child proof yet able to escape in case of a fire. She also had to hire an exterminator for bugs. She couldn't just spray herself. It had to be a professional. She had to keep immunization records on all of her kids. There is also a 1 to 6 mandatory ratio with no more than 2 infants. Hope that helps.
