Warehouse work? (Forklift, Scanning etc)?

A few of my mates work in the same warehouse, its a large one for a well known company. They have all urged me on to join the fold and I want to but how do I start. I'm 23 with no warehouse experience. Is it possible to do a traineeship in warehouse & distribution at my age Or have I passed it? All I really want to do is work with my mates.

They will start you out sorting boxes. Their will be pallets on the floor with different numbers. The box with the number needs to go on the pallet with the same number. You will also need to count the number of items on the pallet then shrink wrap it. In time they will train you to drive the forklift.
