Asked by kerrigan778
I am considering becoming an Automotive Technician, what sort of careers/jobs could I go into as one, and what could I hope to make. Informed answers only please. Also any recommendations on schools/education for it. I'm looking at UTI currently but would appreciate recommendations.

If your serious get some good technical training, because most cars these days are having more problems with computer circuits and related sensor failures than anything else. It can be a good career field to get into but be prepared to spend a lot of your own money on a regular basis for tools and upgrades to your diagnostic equipment in order to keep up with the changing technology in todays vehicles. Good luck to you.

I hope you like to get your hands dirty If you go to some of the local dealers they will send you to school for training. You will be paid comission about 35%. Find your self a better job that is the most crap job out there I know.
