Has anyone worked in the trash industry?

I'm trying to find out if this is something my husband should pursue. He has a CDL and is a Over the road driver right now and always gone. We miss him and are trying to find something local for him to do. If you work with waste management could you let me know if the pay is decent and if it's hard to get a job in the field. Thank you.

The pay is very good. Basically if you are an experienced driver, and can deliver more dumpsters daily than your quota, you get a good bonus.
