Look into becoming a rehab aide/technician. It does not require any formal experience. The pay is kinda crappy, but is a good experience for anyone hoping to become a PT, OT, PTA/COTA
I am a PT

I work in a medical university and I would try 3 different avenues. 1)Check your state for requirements for becoming a PT assistant 2) Usually PT school are in or associated with a hospital.I would go to the hospital find out what floor the PT facility located and stop in and talk to PT and ask to speak to PT manager. 3) Often getting in to schools is a lot about who you know plus grades and scores. You could try to get a office job in PT Medical School.
