How can people just accept working in a dead-end job or factory?

I mean u are in the USA, u can get an education, unless u have something debiliating, but factory work is so back-breaking, I dont know how anyone can suffice that....what stops you from doing something else? Ur right, I know some supervisors start at $18 an hour whereas a reg. company the stop pay is $15 what sh**

I would never do it, but there are all sorts of reasons: job security; convenience - maybe it is the best option for the area; not very intelligent - so they do not find it so mind numbing; some people can just cope with repetitive work and they like their colleagues.

most people who work in factories make pretty good money & have great benefits as well as great reitrement packages. Also, most factories are in places that dont have alot of other jobs, so people literally wait in line for those factory jobs.

Not all factory jobs are not like that. I know quite a few factory workers who make more in salary and benefits than those who have "white collar jobs". Also there are plenty of deadend white collar jobs which are mind numbing.
