Which supermarket pays the most for home shopping delivery?
Asked by SolidStateLogic
Forget asda, tried them and the branch I worked at were so un-organised from the pickers to the sorters in the warehouse which caused problems for the drivers.
I just want to work in an organised delivery company where the manager knows what he/she is doing.

Some chain-store operations are using technology to provide delivery and pick-up service on a wide scale. Michael Layne, spokesman for Kroger's marketing operation in Michigan and 77 Kroger grocery stores, says the chain's volume of telephone and fax-machine orders has been increasing since its order-and-delivery service began a year ago.
Kroger charges $9.95 to deliver any size order and $5.95 to ban an order for customer pick-up at a local store. Callers can place their orders by dialing an 800 number anytime of any day.

I don't know any UK supermarket company where the manager knows what they are doing, and I've first hand experience of several. The higher up the chain a manager gets, the stupider they become. The wages aren't great either in any supermarket I know of. Try another sector. Only the truly desperate work in retail. It's just so soul destroying. I did warehouse work for fifteen years. Once you know what goes on behind the doors at these places and how some of them treat their staff, you'd never shop there again.
