SUN vs. MOON
Anyone who has worked for State Farm?
Asked by SUN vs. MOON
I just got hired at a State Farm agent's office as a receptionist/office assistant position. What are some ways I can move up through the ranks quickly, or prove myself? There is a TON of information I need to learn, which I know I will eventually, it's just my second day and extremely overwhelming.

I actually worked for State Farm in Missouri. I was an ACT (Agency Career Track) Assistant. In all honesty there is really no where to go in State Farm unless you want to become an agent which is really hard to do. You have to be selected to even get into the interview process. My girlfriend works there now as a claim rep and she says the same thing.

i never worked at SF. at any job the way to move up quickly through the ranks is to work hard and show dedication. if there's no room for advancement, you need to move on. learn what you need to learn as an office assistant/receptionist and hopefully while you're learning it you can gain more valuable knowledge to do move up if you want to move up. congratulations on your new job and good luck. momofb&d
