what is the difference between a certified nursing assistant (CNA) and a medical assistant? (MA)?

i am just curious on what the different "duties" and wages are, and also education. also, what are some careers in the nursing field such as any kind of technicians, assistants, LPNs, RNs, etc.

A CNA is a 'Certified Nursing Assistant' that takes a state exam and is regulated by the State Board of Nursing. An MA is a degree awarded by the college that has the program, has no state exam or regulation, and is not a recognized profession by any board of nursing in any state.

A CNA is exatcly what it says a certified nurse aide. In my state all the can do is vital signs, calculate intake and output, turn, clean, dry, and feed. A MA in my state can give injections and draw blood . Usually CNA is taught at a vocational schhol, small college, or by the employer, they are goverend by the state board of nursing.

a CNA cleans up people's crap, a medical assistant usually doesnt do that, they just take blood pressure and stuff. A CNA probably gets paid around $8 or 9, an MA gets $10 or so. RNs are the highest level nurse which could make 50-60k a year. LPNs are right below RNs and make about 30k i think.
