I would like to live in afforadable housing and have discounted daycare. I get child support to help me and can work part time if i need to. Please help me with any advice.

I'm not really sure what to tell you. Try looking for subsidized living. www.apartmentratings.com might have something. Or google yellow pages subsidized living (city), tx. it might come up with something. Really though, I just wanted to answer to tell you that I think it's awesome that you are furthering your education as a single mother. This makes you such a good mom. Keep up the good work. You'll make it and your kids will appreciate it too.

Most colleges offer discounted day care, and they can probably guide you toward affordable housing. If you didn't have an income last year, you will also qualify for grants toward school, books and other expenses (you don't have to claim child support). Your best bet at this time is to contact the college you will be attending. I did it when my kids were small, I now have a steady job, relocated from MIdwest to Florida and have an income that allows us to be comfortable.
