Child Care..?
Asked by partyanimal2123
I am doing a report on child care for a research paper, and there might not be an answer to this, but i was just wondering.. What is the minimum education required for a job in being a child care aid/worker?

Best Answer:
In the state of Michigan an aide has to have 12 training hours a year, CPR and first aid, and blood pathogen training. A teacher has to have all of that and 6 credits in early childhood education.

A:
it may depend on the state, but I know where i live in NY the minimum education requirement for a day care or pre-school setting is a high school diploma. Some places may require an Associate's Degree, but some allow you to be a lead teacer of a classroom with no Associates, as long as you are in school taking classes torwards it. I do not have my degree yet, but I have been working as an assistant in pre-school rooms for 6 years.
