A line cook can make anywhere from minimum wage (believe it) to $15.oo/hr (not likely) and depending on education, experience, ect. a chef can make around the same (usually $12.oo-$20.oo) or a GREAT deal more (say $30.oo/hr+benefits but again, that's not very likely) again depending on education, experience, who you know, ect. Most chefs are underappreciated artists and people don't recognise the talent before them.
