Mike L
Retail store?
Asked by Mike L
I recently got hired to work for a retail store called Ollie's outlet store. I was hired to do stock work and my first question is what can I expect from retail. This store will be opening in may and they said that we have a 3 month provaction period. They said that they have the right to lay us off if they needed to. I want to know if I do my job right and not slack off, would i be able to keep my job or is it common for a retail store to lay workers off after 3 months of being opened?

Since they are just opening and needing all stockers there are probably a lot of them. So do a good job, be there on time. At the end of the probation period they will probably keep the best employees. That's just my best judgement, my daughter was one of those once that was kept at the end of the stocking period.
