an ice cream store like brusters if they have that by where you live and i think that working at a book store would be easy. Anything in the food industry would be good for someone 16, maybe like a little cafe or someting. You could also work at pet store if you like animals, but sometimes weird people can work there so be careful. If you play any sports you could try being a coach or a camp counselor. You can work at a rock climbing place if you like that kind of stuff. Hope this helped.

Any retail places, fast food etc. The work may not be fun, but easy for teenagers to get a job, and most likely you'll be working with teens your age.

A:
try applying as a camp counselor or your local mall. if you love nature and kids camp can be very rewarding. of course if you work at the mall - great discounts!!

I'm 16 as well and I work at Tim Hortons (blech) and also an italian dinner hall which is a lot of fun but I just recently got my lifeguarding certification and I had a job interview last Thursday (pray for me/wish me luck! haha). I don't know how much certification you need to be a lifeguard where you live but I live in Canada and it took me about a year to complete all the necessary courses. I think it will be worth it in the end though... sitting in a chair, sun tanning, blowing a whistle at kids, rescuing people from drowning.... hahaha If lifeguarding isn't for you then I would totally reccommend the dinner hall. I love it there! My background is Italian and the it's an Italian hall and so it's a really neat cultural experience too! Maybe you could serve at a club/dinner hall of your ethnic background. Hope you enjoyed the suggestions.

It kinda depends on where you live, but some suggestions are chukie cheese, the mall, ice skating rinks, ect.

I would try to work at the mall. Anything to do with the mall can be fun because you're around soo many people and you get a lot of good experience. Coffee shops are nice because a lot of younger people work there. But being a waitress isn't really worth it.. some people can be so picky and you really don't make that much money. This summer I'm trying to work at local museums, possibly in the giftshops and then volunteering on the side because I'm a museum studies minor. It all depends on your interests. =)

If you are doing well in school, tutor other kids! You can charge like $20/hour and get a lot of cash, especially if you know more difficult subjects like math/science. You don't need to know the material like a teacher - but if you have a textbook in front of you and can understand most of the material, you can do it! Search for tutoring agencies in your area or online, or advertise yourself on Craig's list (make sure to have an adult or friend go with you to meet the person - just in case).
