Being a lawyer is a mixed bag. Some lawyers work long hours and receive little pay, others work long hours for great pay. Some sell their soul to make a buck, some are into it for the sake of justice and the law. It is slightly difficult to become an attorney. You need to go to a University for at least 6 years and you need to pass an examination testing your knowledge and application of general law. To be an effective attorney, you need to be able to communicate well in both oral and written form, which means being able to read and listen as well as to speak and write. You need to be able to apply similar situations to the situation at hand. And, you need to be able to be concise and detail oriented.
