Should I leave full time job to part time to have time for home business ?
Asked by Pdog
I am looking to start a promotional advertising business, but due to hours at my full time job I have no time to work my own business. I am considering dropping my full time job for a part time position to allow more time for the advertising business. The FT job pays ok but isn't enough to cover all expenses. Your opinions?? thoughts ???

Hmm? Big decision.... Here are things I would think about ......... What about medical befits? Is your job at your ft company be in jeopardy? Remember it usually takes 3-5 years when starting a business before you see any profit. I think it would be a good shot , big risk involved, but if you don't try it. You will never know. So I say go for it, and best of Luck

I wouldn't. I owned a computer business for 15 years. It took about 2 years to get the company financially stable enough to actually pay me. If it had not been for steady income coming in from my spouse to pay our household bills, I would have been in BIG trouble. ~from one who's been there, done that. ~jennifer
