Automotive technician is a thankless job, it's greasy, and it's a dead-end job. Jobs are sporadic and the profession has a high amount of layoffs.
I suggest you change to Nursing. Reasons: 1) The demand is increasing yearly and there aren't enough nurses 2) The pay is good and you can always find a job in nursing 3) Nursing profession brings you personal satisfaction daily-especially when you can help a fellow human being 4) You get to work with other healthcare professionals. Good luck.

Nurses make good money but you really have to want to do it or the money will not be worth the aggravation. Go on the occupational outlook handbook website and research the careers some more. Those are two totally different areas. Yes there is more job growth and stability as a nurse but I'm afraid of nurses that are in it for the money. Do it because you love it. If your young try being a CNA first to get a feel for the field. That's how I decided to become a nurse and I was already in school doing liberal arts.
