what are the steps for a social work professional in india to obtain a job in US?

working as a clinical social work for a reputable cancer hospital in india....wondering what is the process to find a job in social work field in United states....any information pointing to the resources available will be greatly appreciated

You have two routes. 1) Find an employer who is recruiting in India and get a job in the states - they will do all the paper work. Now in SW this is VERY rare - especially on the clinical side (they are fairly common over here). 2) Come over to the US on a tourist visa - while here interview for jobs - once you get the job go back home and come back under a temporary work visa and your employer will start the process of a more perminate work visa. Either method will work best if your skills are one that are not easy to find in the US or are hard to fill. This may be a struggle in your area but worth trying. DA
