Why should we hire you?
Ask yourself: Why Gamestop? Are you an avid gamer? Do you like to tell others about the games? Or are you looking at Gamestop because it's "there" and a job opportunity?
As a retailer, I look for people who have passion for the job, passion for helping people find the right thing, and someone who isn't afraid to approach people in a new and friendly way. We compete for EVERY DOLLAR that is out there, and the only way people are going to part with their money is if they feel their experience in the store was worth it. People don't buy products: People buy people. You can buy games, for example, online, but people don't buy from a store unless they like the salespeople. If you want to get into retailing, and you want to learn the business, make sure you are selling something you believe in. Retail experts are salespeople, and some of the best out there. It isn't just a body ringing the register.
You also have to "fit" the part. People only have a few seconds to earn an impression. Wear a suit and/or a tie to the interview, or dress pants and ironed shirt. Dress, speak and act like you want the job. Nothing says "I don't care" like a pair of jeans. Make eye contact with the interviewer. Shake his/her hand firmly. Speak from your heart with the answers to the questions they ask. Be professional.
Hope that helps.

A:
Punctuality, confidence, appropriate attire, product knowledge and eagerness to learn.
Why should they hire you? I'm always on time, I'm trustworthy, I know the product well, and I am always willing to learn new things.
If you don't have any work experience, do you have volunteer experience that can be applied? I know in Canada, students are required to complete 40 hours of volunteer work to graduate.
Good luck

Look descent and appear willing to work during the week and on weekends (you can always change the schedule afterwards).
As for the question, show them that you are extremely passionate about games and that you will treat the work as a exciting rather than as boring and laborious work.
