What would be a good general degree just to have a bachelor's in something?

My friend hasn't been to college, but works in an office. He wants to go to college and get some sort of degree, but it should be something that is general enough that he would be able to apply for higher paying jobs. He wants to get a degree so that he can get paid more, but he's not sure what would be a degree that employers would like... Thanks!

Business Administration is the way to go. But I would suggest that he think of something he feels a passion for rather a degree for the sake of a degree.
