Daycare???

I recently graduated with my B.Ed in B.C. I am currently teaching English. I have realized that I don't want to be a teacher (I don't like all the 'politics' associated with teaching)... However, it has always been my dream to work with children. And I am really interested in starting and running a daycare with my friend (also a B.Ed graduate). What are the requirements for owning a daycare in BC, Canada? Do I need more schooling (ECE?)? what other legalities should I look into? thank you in advance!

I am not in Canada, but I doubt you would need more school than that, but I would suggest some business classes if you haven't taken them.. there is still a lot of "politics" in daycare! Check with your local gov about what the business requirements and teaching requirements are.. Good LUCK!!! I only have exp with daycare as a parent, but nearly 7 yrs worth between 2 kids!
