You could try working at a summer camp. They don't pay as well, but you would have a ton of fun. Also parents are looking for nannies over the summer and you could do that.

I'm 14 and in 8th grade and this summer I'm going to be a counsler at a baseball camp. Be a camp counsler. Its fun, you get to work with kids and looks good for colleges. If you don't want to wait until summer, I'm sure you could find a job as a waitress.

Weird. I'm fifteen, and I just got back from work. I clean for a nice, older couple who can't get around easily. I got the job at my high school- check with your office or guidance counselor- wherever job listings would be.

You are old enough to be a laundry attendant at a hotel. Waitressing is a good way to make make money with the tips and all. Working at a department store or washing cars is also a good way.

Yard work. Stocking. Bagger. Entry level cashier. Sadly, at 15, employers know that you are limited in hours b/c of labor laws and because you can't drive yet, and that this will not be a long-term job b/c you will move on to bigger and better ones. But honestly, fast food, yard work, stocker at a store, bagger, casher are really what's out there. HOWEVER, if you do a sport like dirt bikes, BMX, etc., many power sports stores will hire you.

My first job I worked at was Krogers as a bagger but what sucks is that Krogers is part of a union so you have to join the union which takes money out of your paycheck in case the drivers of krogers revolts. Its not used in case baggers revolt because they can get anybody to bag groceries and corral the carts.

I have a friend who owns a recycling business. We used to call them "junk yards". Actually it's a used car parts place. He hires young men or women that ain't afraid of hard work. In return for a fair wage he teaches them how to be mechanics. If you like working on cars, you might check into something like that. He has more money then I do.

A:
Wendi, only burger chains are considered "fast food". Pizza chains, family restaurants; small food shops are some of the items that doesn't relate to being fast food, and you might want to consider. The problem is that by law, the minimal age limit is 16--so you have to be of that age to work at a food company.
