What is the salary of a Patient Care Assistant (PCA)?
Asked by Lovethychildren
I just entered nursing school and have been an at home mom for quite a few years. I am thinking about working part time or pool to help pay for college. I am wondering if anyone out there is working or has worked as a PCA and if so what the average wage/salary was? I am in Ohio.

I am in Ohio, I am a nursing student and a PCA. I make $10.61 an hour, and this is minimum since I have had no experience inthe field. Plus there is extra if you work nights or weekends.

Hi, I am in Orlando, Florida and the PCA or PCT positions in this area pay approx. 8.95 /hr for 7a - 7p shifts, and more for pm shifts, (at least in a hospital setting). Congratulations for making the decision to return for your nursing degree! Good luck to you!
