Asked by The bitter wife
An outfit all in white or an outfit all in black? Which would make me stand out more & make me more likely to get hired?

Best Answer:
Color doesn't matter just make sure it's modest. Cover ALL cleave and down to your knees.

A:
don't work at a childcare center unless you want an ulcer.

A:
They're not going to use the color of your outfit as hiring criteria. I'd mix some color in with either. I prefer black, but white is springy. Just say no to white pants, though!

I would wear comfortable, nice but not too dressy clothes. Probably not all white (gets dirty) or all black (too serious), but maybe black pants and a nice colored shirt\sweater...good luck!

I dont think you should wear white to an interview... i have always been told to wear neutral colors like, but not white... it is kinda like wearing white to a wedding

Color doesn't matter, but....No heels, flats work best. Don't dress to flash, dress to take care of kiddos. Slacks and oxford type shirt, no flashy jewelery, just the norms, stud ear rings, watch. its your personality and caring attitude that's going to get your hired. Good luck on the interview!

A:
Neither. Wear Navy and dress casual. They are not looking for clothes. They need a personality that will love children and put them at ease.

A:
NEITHER! For God's sakes, it's a Child Care Center not a Fashion show. Dress appropriately for the job you are applying for.

If I have a job for something like this, I ussually go with at least a little color. You're not really looking to stand out though, you want to look kid friendly...all white or all black may or may not pull that off. I've gone to 2 interviews similar to this. For the first one I wore a nice patterned button down blouse underneath a sweater cardigan in a coordinating colors, and some nice khaki colored slacks. For the other one I wore a long a-line skirt, and a nice cardigan over a camisole (a non-lowcut cami) You want to try and look bright and friendly and professional at the same time !! :) hth

I am a Human Resources Director and interview people every day. Wear the one that looks the most professional. If they both equally look professional then choose the black one. A couple of other pointers - Don't chew gum, be at least 10 - 15 min. early, don't show any bare skin other than neck up, hands or arms up to elbows and legs(if you wear a skirt). Take out any piercing except for one nice pair of earrings (no tongue, nose or multiple earrings). No blue green or other punk colored hair. Even though the company may allow all these things I named off above - dress like they don't - I assure you they will be impressed and you'll land the job. Good luck and let me know how it goes. You are Blessed

I think maybe something conservative and solid two color, but something with more color, because children like color and it would make you look like you would fit in with the children. Maybe something like bright pink top with white skirt/pants. I think all white or all black would not be good for childcare interview.

A:
I don't think you want to wear all white or all black. You are interview for a daycare so theres a good chance they will have you interaction with the kids and your white outfit will be stained by the end. All black is too depressing. Make sure you wear comfortable clothing, and nothing is hanging out

A:
Stay conservative ... wear whatever will makes you feel good and confident. Your confidence will make you stand out and allow you to focus on selling yourself. Good Luck.
