What are the differences between inside and outside sales?

There are big difference with indoor sales & outdoor sales.
Indoor Sales that you work as a coordinator in handling the orders. Once the customer place an order to you. You have to proceed the order with administrative department with booking materials, booking production line, quality checking and booking the shipment. If your company has a factory in China, you have to the factory for the quality control. While you are dealing with the above mentioned issues, you have manage the deposit before the production and the down payment once the goods have been shipped. Indoor Sales deemed to be a clerical staff, most of them have the basic salary and no commission.
The outdoor sales will have mostly in meeting the clients outsides. However, there is a difference between the Indoor & Outdoor. Most of the outdoor sales have to complete the deal and hand in to the company. Then their assistant or relevant departments will proceeds all the business for him. By the way, all the follow-up calls should be made by this sales. Since there is less documentions, their monthy targets will be set higher. Besides, their basic salary will be a bit lower with commission basis (proportion may be higher)

inside sales normally deal with people or companies that aleady have your product for example selling a apple mouse to someone who has a apple computer from the company, and outside are normaly people who dont have an interest in the product yet

Inside sales - contacting businesses and individuals to seel the products via phone or internet.
Outside sales - you go door to door- either to other businesses, or to homes, without any appointments.
Both tend to be cold sales- no leads or expressed interest prior.
