how do i become a licensed plumber if i have to first get a plumbing job?

how do i get a plumbing job if they want you to be licensed

Go to plumber school, then do an apprenticeship under a duly licensed plumber. Or else, KNOW somebody.

A:
You start as an apprentice to a Master Plumber. Apprenticeship costs some money for registration. Later, if you pass your state's exam you can become a journeyman plumber and work at plumbing on your own.

I know many electrical fields require apprenticeship programs. I do believe plumbing works mostly the same way.

Apprenticeship is free if u go to your local union pipefitters and take the test

u need to do a apprentice course which means u take a course for 2 years u either do a week of college a month( block release) or do one day a week(day release) u will have to find a employer to do the course as for the rest of the time while u arnt at college u will be working with a employer this is to get city in guilds and ur NVQ course in the second year u also fill in 2 portfolios this is what u do in the UK also if u want to do gas it is a extra year
