Laid-off of your job recently for lack of work? What was your job? POLL?

If so, were others laid-off as well and what did you do for work- what field/industry did you work in? Just curious to see who else is being laid-off these days. I am a female, was a machinist/welder/fabricator and was one of about 6-10 people the (relatively small) company laid-off. *note-I KNOW that being a girl has NOTHING to do with my lay-off....I'm proud of what I do (did) and :) love to mention it. :) I'm NOT looking for at-home-business commercials! Just others who have been laid-off.

I was a massage therapist for the past 5 years. I knew in the beginning of 2007 that things were going down hill with our economy. So I took a few graphics and web classes to update my skill set and went back into the admin and office support realm. It hasn't been an easy transition at all. I've been looking for a couple of months but still haven't found anything. My friends that are massage therapists, chiropractors, acupuncturists, ect . . are not doing well. I'm glad I stopped doing massage as a career b/c it wasn't paying the bills but I do miss it.
