Can anyone recommend a book to help me study for a civil service job? The job is for account clerk?
Asked by ILoveChicken
I looked online but a lot of them seem out of date. I tried the Arco series but the majority of them are out of print. I applying for Account Clerk and Office Aid. Any suggestions?

Reading an out of date book is better than none. Government jobs don't change the people do...Clerk and office Aid -- 2 year Associates Degree or 4 year Degree should boost your career...in Administration...

I work for a civil service co. and I have taken many test. In my experinces there are 3 parts. There is a general knowledge part, a job related part, as in clerk I guess there would be office type questions, and third there was like a " how many can you get done in a certain time frame" part. The ones I have seen were different shapes and making them into other shapes. Most of the test I have taken there really isnt nothing you can study? Hope this helps?
