Miss Terious
If a person has no experience in the field of employment (even part time) where should they start?
Asked by Miss Terious
I've been trying to look for full time employment; i'd be willing to work any role that involves a 9-5 routine. I've tried applying for general high street shops...what else can I do? Most of the jobs i've found want experience and I have none. :-(

You have to start somewhere so first of all go to the job centre and look at the vacancies there you also benefit from using their facilities free such as a CV service and the phone. Although you have had no work experience the wording of a CV can mean your skills can be explained to an employer and it will make you look more professional.

Even if you have no PAID work experience, see if you can get some UNPAID experience, such as an internship or even volunteering... it will really stand out to prosepctive employeers that your are interested in your field. Best of luck!

Look for junior office roles, as they normally take school leavers.. (I'm purely guessing you are a school leaver right?) But as with any job, you have to start at the bottom of the ladder to progress. So search for junior roles. These days, offices generally do 9-5, but that trend is changing fast.
