The pay is pretty low-to-average, obviously min. wage has increased over the years, but I know a couple of people at my store who have worked there for over 3 years and are not even making $8 an hour. Part-timers are also eligible for health benefits through National Health Access. Part-timers are also eligible for time-and-a-half pay on holidays (Memorial Day, Labor Day, 4th of July, etc... -- Thanksgiving and Christmas do not count b/c the store is closed). The discount is obviously one of the best benefits: Old Navy employee discount works like this: 20% off of everything at Old Navy (regular price, sale, clearance merchandise, and gift cards) 40% off of 4 regular-price items per month (excludes outerwear and some other things) 50% off the regular price of 1 company-designated item of the month. (for example: In the month of May, the featured item is men's or women's shorts) 30% off of 5 items (any price) between Gap and Banana Republic (total of 5 items per month, not 5 at each store). The "all-store discount" is marked on your discount card. You cannot use your employee discount to make online purchases on any Gap Inc brand website. Other benefits that most employees don't know about are discounts with Verizon, Apple, Dell, etc... once you become an employee, there is a site you can log into and see all the community discounts.
