What is the best second career for a teacher wanting to switch jobs?
Asked by munhasen5
My brother wants to switch jobs after more than 10 years as an elementary teacher. He really doesn't have any other skills besides teaching, which makes finding a non-teaching job rather difficult. Can anyone suggest some non-teaching jobs that a former teacher would find it easier to get than others? Thanks!

if he wants a change a job in paediatrics wouldn't be too much of a stretch. as a teacher he clearly has the intelligence, and the combination of a normal nursing course with all his experience with children would make him stand out to any paediatrics doctors needing nurses. he could also try to look for work as a lecturer in a teacher training course....he may want a change because he is tired of teaching young children....h could lecture new young teachers using all his experience...
