I start training for CNA in a couple weeks...can anyone tell me what to expect?
Asked by Jayden
I am in nursing school right now, but still doing my pre-reqs. I wanted to get a jump start in the medical field, so I applied at a nursing home as a CNA, and I got the job. I am not certified, so they are sending me for training for two weeks then I have to take a test to get certified. Can anyone with experience tell me what to expect through training and once I get certified? Thanks.

You will endure a lot of training on how to make beds, proper linen handling, feeding, transferring, toileting, documentation, Universal Precautions, etc, etc. You will do all of this just to spend most of your time wiping dirty butts as that is all that you will have time to do. Good Luck

getting people ready for the day...getting them dressed, brushing their teeth, taking them to the bathroom mulitple times a day...a lot of butt whiping...and a lot of lifting...
