what are the general duties of a large hotel's line cook?

high volume saute/grill/prep=the ad in the paper is this job a general high stress nightmare?

line cooks need to follow orders from the head chef... You would need to make lots of different dishes, sauces and you would need to know how to do it properly and within a good time frame. You will be under pressure too, as big hotels have reputation... And customers do not like to wait for hours and hours for dinner. Can you stand the heat in the kitchen? because other cooks will be working right next to you as well. and, when it's busy at 6:00 pm... you will need to multi-task with different orders and stuff you're cooking.
