Will I be able to get a job if I've been a stay at home mom for more than 8 years?
Asked by sweetness
My husband is in the military and we move every three to four years. I have always decided to stay home and raise the kids. Now I want to venture out but my work history sucks. I'll have my associates degree in about 6-8 months. After that, I will be ready to work somewhere but I'm afraid I won't get hired because of my work history.

My mom was a stay at home until after I left home. My dad has worked at the same company for over forty years now. My mom, without a college degree, entered the work force and now makes more than my dad. So yes you should be able to get a job.

You can try this. They don't ask you for a credit card or try to charge you anything, like the scam sites. You won't get rich, it's only about $100 per week. They pay by Paypal or check. I have also posted a screenshot of a Paypal payment I received, as proof.

with an associates degree it will be very easy to pick up a starter level job.
your work history only really comes into play if you have either;
a) been fired
b) have no education
or c) have an unexplainable gap in employment (SAHM is explainable)

I don't think you will have a hard time finding a job. I think the hard part will be to find a job that you like. Most employers shy away from military wives because there is a great possibility that they won't be around very long. All of this depends on what you want to do. What will your associates degree be in?
I have found, when job hunting, it's not what you know it's who you know. Ask your husband if he can talk to his superiors or use the resources on base. All military bases give special selection to military spouses. Check out www.usajobs.com. It has jobs all over the world listed. I would make sure and check out that website. This way if you get a job on base you will be able to transfer to wherever your husband is transferred and still have a job. The hard part is getting on base. Once you are there it is a piece of cake to move from job to job on the base.

Hey I really know how you feel I'm a stay at home mom and a college student and my time is very short and important. I grew so frustrated with looking for work at home that I gave up for about three months.Then one day a got a call out of no where from something I had singed up for and this company has changed my life! In a short time I will be making more then my friends who have graduated! It's not like Avon or Mary k I don't have to sell,keep inventory,meet quotas or any thing and the income is residual and the list of great things goes on and on.I would love to share this opportunity with you and the company has been listed in the top fortune 500 list ! I could talk all day about it but if you check out this web site you can learn more visit.
