Career Questions and Answers

Insomniac9474
Has anyone here quit teaching and had a better financial and emotionally rewarding experience?
Asked by Insomniac9474
I'm looking for a way to transfer my job experience as a teacher to find a career change. I'm just too nice and hate being stern all the time to be doing teaching. Some kids are wonderful but other's are brats that take advantage of one and I'm tired of fighting them. I'm organized, good planner, like environmental and social causes, love to travel, etc. Any ideas on how to make a career transition from teaching?

From one instructor to another, follow your passion, sounds like you love teaching, awesome leadership trait, so kudos to you! If you want to pursue a career with better pay, try rewriting your resume, and sell your self as "Director of Training." In the corporate world, most of the time there are open positions in their human resources department, you just have to ask. Again, follow your passion, studies show that if you chase a job just for the money that you will end up looking again for something else in the near future. I understand your frustration, but remember, these kids are going to remember you for the rest of their lives, "even though your just doing your job". Good luck!
