How can I chnage my teaching resume to one for sales?

I have taught high school for 6 years and am looking to go into the sales industry. I need help making my skills from teaching look valuable to the sales professionals.

The trick is to emphasise skills over experience. Look at your skills overall and see which skills are transferable to sales. Employers are always looking for transferable skills in their prospective employees and the better you are at finding and relating them, the better a candidate you will be to them. I have gotten jobs in totally different sectors purely by stating and explaining my transferable skills.

Then you should definitely focus on sales training. Training other sales professionals is a good way to get yourself in the door while using your teaching degree as an advantage. Also look for online courses that are looking for teachers while using WebEx, or other online conference software.
