Is there any legitimate at home medical billing jobs out there?

I am currently employed as a medical billing clerk at a health care facility. With the high prices of gas, I would love to continue doing this at home. Is there any legitimate work from home billing jobs out there?

You might also want to try sites like elance or guru. You can bid on short term and long term projects and some employers might hire you as a regular employee or independent contractor. Good luck!

i only know one person and she is running her own business doing other people's billing, and she still has to go back and forth to her client's offices - but hopefully someone'll be able to give you a better ansr. the transcribing thing is at home, and is legit, but you still have to go and pick up the tapes and drop off the notes, that is until everyone goes digital and by then i think the voice recognition programs will be good enough that most of the young docs will be using it, insteady of transcribers . . they already are in some hospitals. . . good luck.
