I put in a job application at Walmart, no what?

I put in an application,last Saturday at a Walmart that is hiring. When should I call? Who should I ask for when calling? and what should I say?

I would call a few days after, ask for the personnel manager....show some interest. Pretty much advise them you had applied, and you are curious about the job. They should let you know.

Don't call...they will call you. If you call and ask if they have recieved your job application they will say yes and tell you when they will be looking at them.

They know about you, leave them be. They will call you if they are interested. It is always annoying to have people calling constantly to check on an app.

They will call you if they wish to invite you in for a interview if your application form wasnt succesful you might get a letter but if you hear nothing then it probably means the same thing, if so dont call them, look for somewhere else to work.

I used to perform interviews for hiring in a large firm. When one of the applicants called it was difficult to find that one application amongst a pile of them so usually did not review the one that called. We almost always sat down and reviewed them all at once and pulled out the ones we wanted to give an interview.
That being said, in a small organization calling and expressing interest is very good. It may very well get you to the top because of your obvious interest.
