What is a good resource for someone who will be going into ranching?

Just out of college he will be going into the Army for four years. Before/during college he worked on an Oregon ranch (400 mother cows) and might work on/own that ranch eventually. We are looking for good resources (internet/other) about loans, ownership, guidelines, anything, advice, resources for young farmers/ranchers, etc. anything! Thanks. I've done some Google searches but I have a hard time finding a central resources or list of resources. Thanks!
