How hard is it to get time off at UPS?
Asked by Jarrod F
I have recently received a job offer to work as a part time package handler at UPS. I hear its a good place to work and they provide an excellent benefits package. There is one week this summer that I absolutely have to have off. Does anybody that has any experience with UPS think I would have a problem getting that week off? -any and all responses are greatly appreciated, thank you.

i called in sick today HAHAHAHAHAHAAAAA. no seriously i have poison ivy on my neck and arms GGRRRR. i worked mon and tues but its pretty bad and its raining today so i was like screw it. you have to call like 65-75 minutes before your start time, ( mine is 8:25) and they hassle you on the phone and make you feel like your really screwng them ( as if i care) but as long as you have sick days available there aint a damnthing they can do woohooo. and im not going in tommorow either. and since i called in today they consider me "booked off" until i call and tell them im coming in, so i dont have to call tommorow and I can sleep late YYAAAAAAAAYYY!!!!!!!!!

Why don't you ask your supervisor. they deal with situations like this all the time. The turnover is high how long you will last depends on how many people want the job.
