well i am a server at Buffalo Wild Wings . I work 4 days a week , and I usually make a good amount of money. I worked tonight from 5:30p.m until 12 midnight ( that was when we close ) and i made $160.oo .. Saturday I worked from 5 to close which is 1am .. and I made 260$ , so you know you can make good money serving. Location is key , and your attitude is as well . People say it is an easy job , but lets be honest , it is a bit hard , when ppl go out to eat they want promt fast service , if you talk too mcuh they can become jerks , if you get there order even a little wrong expect to get looked at funny. If you have the persoanlity then go for it .. good luck !

Not as much as they should be making. I mean that is a pretty easy job that is as stress free as sitting around and watching monkeys smoke cigars. Just lower your expectation about the pay and the customers and you'll do fine.

Do you have any experience? What is your attitude like? What do you look like? Are you quick on your feet? Are you fast at bringing things out? Are you a good multi-tasker? Can you remember things easily? Where is this restaurant located? How often will you be working?
Unfortunately, all of these things will affect how much money you'll make. The amount of tips you make depends on all of these factors. I have been a waitress for 6 years and could probably make about $200 a shift at a well-located IHOP. But I have been doing this forever, am an amazing waitress (very skilled at what I do & highly trained). I have trained countless servers and managed some very nice dining rooms, and overseen very nice events. I am also a Hospitality & Tourism Management major and just naturally suited for this job. If you have a great attitude, smile and a desire to work though, you'll do great and should be able to make some good money. I would expect to start out pulling in around $100 a shift if you're pretty good. Multiply that by how many shifts you work. I always enjoyed working doubles on Sat & Sun (lunch & dinner, or breakfast & lunch in your case would be best) and then taking two days off. Once you get to be a valued employee they will let you do that. It's the best way to make money quickly & easily I think.
There's a great program I recommend to servers I train called "Gratuity Ingenuity" that you can buy online. I don't work for these people or get any money from them or anything. I'm only telling you about it because I used it when I was a very young waitress (15) and my tips doubled . I was making more money than waitresses three times my age who had been waiting tables for 20 years. So I just thought I'd pass the link along. I know the website looks cheezy, but it's legitimate. http://www.gratuity-ingenuity.com/order.htm Best of luck to you darling!
