I am working in a company owned by a couple for part time.?

Well i am working with my current employer for a long time as a part time receptionist and since i am working for few hours a week i decided to look for another job. Then, just last week they offered me a promotion from receptionist to administrative assistant at the same, one of the company (a large and stable company that i really want to work for) that i applied maybe like 3 months ago called me and start for an offer. Now i am so confuse which one to pick, the promotion from my current employer but own by a couple or the company that is huge and stable. Please help me....

Think about your career not just right now. Think about which is going to best posistion you to be where you want to be in five years recession or not. If you decide to leave the mom & pop and you're worried about loyalty, don't. If they feel about you, the way you feel about them, they'll understand and also want what's best for you. The best thing in that situation is to make sure you give them plenty of notice and do everything you can to leave them in a good position even if it means recommending a reliable family member. I would certainly try to leave on good terms though in case you need to go back.

what is important to you? Stability or loyalty. Be aware that just because the company is stable, the job may not be. find out who you;d be working for, how long they have been there - are the young and fast-tracking to senior level mgmt or are the old and getting close to retirement?
