Asked by babyboy
I have my esthetician license in CA and want ot become employed at a Medical Spa but I am finding it very difficult to get hired because i dont have the medical backround. What extra education do i need? Is it worth it?

Best Answer:
Take a medical terminology course and make sure you get a microdermabrasion certificate...these are pretty much mandatory for a Physician's office or medspa. Also, what I have learned is don't randomly fax your resume to prospective employers...show up in person, dressed professionally. As you know, physical attractiveness and good skin are very important in this industry. It's very easy to toss a resume in the trash, but if they see you and like how you look and present yourself, you have a better chance of getting a job. Good Luck!
