Which version of oracle certification should i take to become a DBA and apply for H1B visa?
Asked by The_Rocker
Hi there
I did my bachelors in Computer Science from Bangladesh. I have no experience in IT field. I am planning to do Oracle certification. Will i be eligible to get work permit in USA,Canada or Australia just having the certification without working experience in oracle? Which version of Oracle Certification would be better for me to get H1B visa or help me to migrate in Australia or Canada? Which version of Oracle are most companies using in USA,Canada and Australia?
Thanks for your anticipated assistance.

Currently the Oracle Database version is 11g, but most companies are currently running version 9i and 10g, so I suggest you target 10g.
You can take an exam to become a "Oracle Certified Professional" and that helps separate you from the crowd.
As far as the H1B side, you are better off to get hired in India by a US company then you can travel to the US on a limited visa and then apply to transfer to the US.
