What does a book and magazine merchandiser do exactly?

I'm looking around for a summer job, and there is a listing for a book and magazine merchandiser, and I'm wondering what all that entails. If you know anything please let me know! Thanks.

I used to work with a girl whose husband did this. It was his responsibility to go into the stores he serviced, replenish the stock of books/magazines selling well, and removing those that weren't.
