How can I get some entry level training or an entry level job working on airplanes?

Join the Air Force. Or go to a technical school that has a vocational program in airplane maintenance.

Well, I would go to Job Core. And they can help you get that training. Also, look for an airport that services planes, and see if you can get on there as a helper.

Join the Air Force and sign up for the type of aircraft work you're interested in. You can both serve your country and learn a career at the same time. Plus, employers are far more likely to hire military trained people than those with no such background. It's a win/win deal!

Talk to a recruiter in the Air Force. If you have good enough ASVB scores, then you'll be able to get jobs working on air planes. (make sure you have a guranteed job before you join). The Air force doesn't require experience and will be more than happy to train you. 4- years later, you can bring your skills to the civilian world, or perhaps you may like the Air Force and decide to stay.
