Is starting a welding career at the age of 30 a good idea?

I am currently enrolled at a local welding school in north Texas and doing well. I am just wondering what to look forward to once completing school. Any thoughts or suggestions?

i started when i was 28,and poor .six years later i have a six figure income . working in the oil and gas industry, it can be hard work but i like it

Talk to a career counselor at your welding school. They will have a good idea at what jobs are available and what you would qualify for right out of school.
