The idiots above me are totally retarded, I work at Publix here in FL, I can't work to long but I do work legally and I get paid $1 above minimum wage.

You can't work until you're 15 or 16, and then you get a job that will pay minimum wage, which is what companies pay 15 year olds.

You get paid like 6.75 to 8.25 depending on experience but this is the pay rate in the area of florida I live in

Publix hires 14 year olds. It says so on their site. Where I live, Dairy Queen also hires 14 year olds. I have no idea about Brusters. It depends on your experience; which is probably minimal since your friend is 14.
They all pay somewhere around 7 or 8 dollars though.
